Don't worry. Life happens. Originally, I wanted to get my CCIE done in a year, but with 2 kids, full time job, wife, mortgage, kids sports/activities, I've been studying continuously for 5 years now. 1 year is if I had nothing else going on. Just play the hand that you are dealt, and we'll continue watching and supporting you.

Hi Jeremiah. How about if you look for a job as a network engineer. That way even if you don't have much time to study but you'll be using your skills in your work place. Why do you wait to be CCIE before you get back into IT?

I really liked your journey for obtaining CCIE. It's a loss that you have to put this off for some time, but it is totally understandable. It's just life, and you got your priorities in right order in my opinion. All the best Jeremiah for you and your family!
