Employers will often tell you that if you're willing to sacrifice for them that they will take care of you later on. That's a lie. Let's talk about it.
Listening to this while sitting on 10 days of Comp Time. Working on my CCNA that’s not even required in my job, but doing it because it adds value to me and the job I currently do. This was a well said video and I can’t add much to it that haven’t already been said except to say it’s the truth.
its called Managing your time. List what your daily activities are and time spend and categorize it. This will do miracles
Awesome video Jeremiah ! I think the same as You...
Good Video
Awesome video! I'm only 3 years in my IT career and I already somewhat get this - albeit not as bad as what you've experienced.
Damn right! I always laugh at the idiots at work who always work extra hours to impress the management only to get $25 connected recognitions every 3 months or so.
Lesson learnt. Way back in my starting days, I done overtime for free to impress my employer and get in good books. Got given a $5 lunch voucher…sacrificed a lot of my time and energy to feel recognised and appreciated. I’ve learnt my value and worth since then thankfully. Think when I was starting out, I felt I had to go above and beyond duty of call (breaching work life balance) to be recognised. Which is not the case I know now. There should be more videos like what you post about this topic
haha, there is a dislike, must be the boss.
You're back!!! Love your life lessons!
Great advise and tips thanks
Man, I love your videos so much! I always look forward to watching the next one, lol. They are so refreshing to watch aside from these fake YouTubers/ "influencers" with these unnatural lifestyles on this platform nowadays. Great work sir!!!
That is real talk. I can relate to this first hand too. Thanks for putting this out there Jeremiah. Lots of persons do it and think better will come from some jobs.
Thanks JW, It took me 25 years to learn what you just explained 24 minutes.
I hope you keep doing what you do.
My guy......Amen 🙏 learned this one the hard way and it's one of the greatest lessons of my life. Yes 👍 thank you for putting this out the brother ;)
dont you think this will hurt you in your job seeking after CCIE? i know you make some legit sense here but just this click bait title and random people from HR googling you. just sayin dont wanna runt or anything
I hope you’re not to busy to crank out videos one per week
Wow, this is very helpful information, specially for a guy who only had one job. Thank you!
Unless you work in a co-op, a large percentage of the profit you help create is taken and given to the guys/women at the top of the scheme. Ah, good old capitalism! This is why CEOs get paid 320 times more than the employees. What you make in one year, multiply that by about 320. They could literally work for one year, and be WAY richer than you (or I) for the rest of their life.
I remember you from one of those crazy companies. It was the worst IT company that I have every worked for and I left after about 6 months or so. Trust me, after working for them, it can only get better.
