UPDATE: changed from terminal commands to network GUI steps. When you need to connect a Wi-Fi device to the internet and your phone has a good 4G signal, why not set up secure data sharing? With PureOS on the Librem 5 phone, setting up a hotspot is simple. Head into Wi-Fi settings and enable Hotspot. Purism will burn a Hotspot right in your wallet when you order from them, for sure! I ordered in 2018, it's JUL 2022, still no refund, device OR communications. This company is unethical and fraudulent, do NOT order a librem 5.

Thanks for the update. I think now you show the easy solution for tethering I was looking for and since it's directly through GNOME settings, it should also work the other way around (sharing network from desktop to phone), I assume. ^^

That's great! I don't think i have seen this feature on other linux phones yet. Have you considered making new upgraded librem phone? I think it could use some faster parts. 🙂
