Grab a Moog Sub37 : 🤍 Read our in-depth article : 🤍 This video shows some of the sounds the Moog Subsequent 37 can produce including classic Moog bass sounds, duophonic sounds, and leads. The last part also shows how the Subsequent 37 can be used to distort and filter external sounds. The Subsequent 37, from Moog Music, is an upgraded and improved version of their original Sub 37 analog synthesizer. Just like the original, it has 40 knobs and 74 switches, making it one of the most powerful Moog synthesizers on the market. The Subsequent 37 improves on the original with a number of user-requested enhancements. Now with double the headroom, the Subsequent 37 can reach an even fatter tone when stacking oscillators. The Subsequent also comes with an upgraded keybed, for ultimate playability. Learn more and order the Subsequent 37 here: 🤍 #moog #sub37 #analog #keyboard #synth #synthesizer #sequencer

Check the tracks out in the YouTube Audio Library* Obviously I've had years and years of experience using the Moog Sub 37, it truly changed everything for me as far as live performance goes. I was so thankful when it was released, and now all these years later, yes, I personally think it's the best Analog synthesizer of all time. Sure I haven't used them all, but no one has...so if you disagree, duh, it's expected hahaha. That said, The Sub 37 is great for many many reasons, and even though it's been out for 8 years it will is a modern classic...IMHO. So maybe this video was simply made to say I LOVE YOU SUB 37. Moog commissioned me to make a video on their new analog semi-modular synthesizer Mavis. Mavis is meant to be an easy entry for everyone wanting that Moog sound on a budget. While its a very good "my first hardware synth", it is surprisingly complex and useful even if you got a bunch of synths already. Hannes Bieger is no stranger to the power of Moog large-format modular systems. The Berlin-based producer, mixing engineer, and live artist—who has been creating and recording ground-shaking techno and house music with his System 35 for years—recently discussed how his experience with modular instruments has shaped his style and process. “What I love about modular is how you can incorporate ‘happy accidents’ in the workflow, especially when tossing around patterns on the analogue sequencers,” Hannes shared. “I love the physicality of the process, actually standing in front of this big instrument rather than sitting in front of a computer screen. Finally, there is a sonic world difficult to achieve with conventional synths. I love, for example, how I can create stereo sounds with a pair of VCAs and AM modulation as a part of the actual synthesis, not with external effects.” Hannes shares more about how modular instruments like the Model 10 (now back in production!) and System 35 have shaped his style and process in a new interview on our website. For this episode of Stimming's 15 Minutes with … series, we take a closer look at the Moog Grandmother, a semi-modular analog synthesizer with a built-in arpeggiator, sequencer and spring reverb tank. Here Stimming experiments with this relatively new addition to cult favourite Moog’s synth repertoire, released in 2018 the Grandmother merges together the sonic possibilities of semi-modular synthesis within its signature robust hardware framework and keys. The monophonic synthesiser can be played immediately with no patching required while It’s reconfigurable front panel allows users to dive deeper. Enjoy! Disclaimer: We use Affiliate links. Here's a demo video explaining the Moog DFAM and why I think one of the most original, interesting analogue synths to come out in years. In it I'll explain how it works, jam a little, pairing it with a TR08, and Mother-32 at the end! Strangely I shot this video several years ago (March 2018 according to the files) but never got round to editing it at the time. In the spirit of better late than never - here it is now. A lot has changed since then, but then a lot has not. It's still a very original take on subtractive synthesis, and it can teach us a lot about approaches we can take on a modular synth too (think - sequencers controlling VCA’s that control envelopes that are used to modulate parameters). And it's still fun as hell to jam on. PS. Spot the error when I'm talking about the noisy VCF input (actually what's happening is the pitch sequencer CV is directly stepping the filter since whatever you put into the socket replaces the default routing). PPS. There's some plugin reverb on this not pictured (Valhalla Vintage Verb and Eventide Blackhole, UAD Galaxy Tape Echo) Support? October 12, 2014 marks the 50 Year anniversary of the unveiling of the Moog modular synthesizer at the Audio Engineering Society's (AES) New York convention. On that day in 1964, Dr. Robert Moog introduced the world to a completely new type of instrument that would go on to change the course of music history and influence decades of future instrument design. Told by a Moog engineer, Moog Historian, and Bob Moog himself, this mini-documentary explores Moog Music's quest to resurrect the original methods, materials and designs used in the foundational modular synths. Through recreating Keith Emerson's modular system, Moog Music rediscovers the power, elegance, and enduring legacy of its first instruments.
