Today I passed the PCAP exam PCAP-31-03 (Old versions: PCAP-31-02 & PCAP-31-01) for the Certified Associate in Python Programming certification. In this video I share my experiences along with study tips and training material.
I loved your video. So honest and accurate. Thank you very much.
HI! I've nearly passed the exam with 77%, but now I want to have my certificate in pdf or somethin. Does anyone knows how to get it? I've searched and I only can get the score report. :( please help!
How in-depth should I go for each topic in the syllable? Do you have any other studying resources other than python institute that is closer to the real test?
I have a PCAP exam today, wish me good luck.
Can you get certified in college? I’m 22 right now and I’m trying to think of ways to enhance my resume.
I just passed the PCAP exam today with a score of 77% (I skipped PCEP). I actually found it quite difficult--even moreso compared to some AWS exams that I've taken in the past.
But you know what? The fact that it's difficult means that it has that much more value than something that's comparable to a certificate of completion. So I'm proud that I was challenged and that I persevered in spite of that.
I passed! I remember watching this video three months ago when I started studying for the exam and I was pretty stressed ngl. How long did it take for you to receive the certificate itself?
hi jeremiah, thank for this information. I am going to try. I appreciate you but this information don't make it easy to find.
Hey, does anyone know if there is a collection of tricky questions with answers? Or perhaps a testing protocol to go through with the syllabus to check for weird things and trick questions? I found a lot of trick questions when I passed the pcep
So I passed this today.
Definitely not the most whelming certificate I've ever earned.
The test ended and then the PV app shut down, making me think my test had errored.
Thankfully not but for anyone who does take it, be aware that when you exit the test the app closes and you will then later receive a score.
There is nothing instant about it. Nor will the credential be made available immediately either which I think is rather frustrating.
All told, decent curriculum, I found most of the material taught in the exam but I suspect some of the questions I did fail were due to some of the gotchas or some really ambiguous questions
Hello, I wonder if you have any plans to take the PCPP exam in the future.
Sir, did you purchase the practice test with your exam? I bought the exam + practice bundle and I'm currently going through the practice testing now.
Hey Jeremiah, I agree with you. Not sure why the Python Institute's systems and methods are so... subpar. I also don't feel that a timed exam is what our metric should be when evaluating a coder and their aptitude level. It almost feels like this would be more valuable if it was based on complex case study style implementations that required certain syntax elements rather than a "quizlet" style pop quiz.
Is this cert mandatory if your trying to get a pentesting position?
Thanks for the honest advice 👍
I highly recommend purchasing the bundle - The course doesn't contain that much info about pcap than the practice test.
Hi Jeremy. Congrats! I I want to do my PCAP in 2 days. By the way, do you know if there is any age requirement for the PCAP? I'm 13 and I'm not sure if I am allowed to do it.
Thanks for the information video, and congrats on the baby!
how many attempts bro?
