A more or less direct comparison between RunCam cameras. Phoenix 2 Nano vs Racer 3 Nano MCK Edition. Same frame on both copters (FPV Cycle Babytooth), one is with 1S drivetrain, the other is 2S drivetrain. I like both of the images, the Phoenix is very much as reality. Slightly narrower FOV, though. The Racer 3 is a true racer, amazing dynamic range, large FOV and you can see even in the shadows. Not at all realistic, but if you fly fast it will give you very good vision. I had to edit the footage somewhat (cut out parts) to match the two sides. Both recordings are taken very close to each other, so the light conditions and clouds are virtually the same.

Review: 🤍 Buy the Runcam Nano 3: Banggood: 🤍 RDQ: 🤍 Amazon: 🤍 From this test, I noticed the Nano 3 has + significantly wider FOV, but less distortion + sharper image - slightly less vibrant color than the nano 2 + slightly improved dynamic range, you can see the shadow detail better - has darker corners for some reason DVR really doesn't do it justice, the differences are even more noticeable when looking through the goggles.
It's a quick test of the new Runcam Nano 2 14mm micro $20 camera for toothpicks and other micros. The image is good although I did experience an artifact in the bright sun but it is fairly minor. Also there is no way to change any of the camera's settings so you will have to be happy with the defaults. I think the Racer Nano has more dynamic range and hence slightly more flyable image but it's also $15 more.
